There are not enough Talent Orbs to unlock every talent. Talents cannot be reset or refunded once chosen. Plan your full path before spending a single orb — every pick closes a door somewhere else.

Overview

The Talent system is how you permanently shape your account's power. Talents are unlocked using Talent Orbs — a rare currency earned slowly across the game — and once spent, they're locked in for good.

Talents grant lasting bonuses to damage, defence, drop rate, skilling and more, spread across multiple paths. They're the backbone of long-term progression: many boss guides (including Poseidon's Defender milestones) assume specific talents are already active.

Key insight: Talents are not a grind you complete — they're a path you commit to. There are deliberately not enough orbs to take everything, so the system is about which strengths you build toward, not whether you "finish" it.
No takebacks: There are no talent resets and no refunds anywhere on the server. A misspent orb is gone permanently. Read this whole guide before your first pick.

Earning Talent Orbs

Talent Orbs come from seven sources. Most are earned through play; only one can be bought, and it's hard-capped. Because orbs are finite, treat every single one as a long-term investment.

🏆
Achievements

Completing account achievements awards orbs as milestone rewards. A steady, reliable source as you progress.

Collection Logs

Finishing an NPC's collection log (CTRL+C) grants orbs alongside its other completion rewards.

Donation Store

Orbs can be purchased from the store, but are capped at 10 per account — total, forever. No way past the cap.

Max 10 / account
Tip: The store cap of 10 means you can't simply buy your way to a full tree. The vast majority of your orbs will come from achievements, logs and the Fatebound Journal — so engage with all of them.
03

Talent Costs

Talents don't have a flat price. The cost scales up the more you unlock — your first picks are cheap, but the price climbs every few talents. The ladder below shows how it grows.

Cost Progression
First 3

Next 3

Beyond
Climbs ↑
How it works: Your first 3 talents cost 1M each. The next 3 cost 2M each, the following 3 cost 5M each, and the price keeps rising from there. The deeper you go, the more each pick demands — so cheap early picks should still be ones you genuinely want.
04

Talent Trees

Talents are organised into separate trees, each focused on a different style of play. Study every tree before committing — your orbs are better spent going deep on the paths that suit your account than spread thin across all of them.

Skilling

Mix or specialise: Nothing forces you into a single tree — but with orbs this scarce, a focused build almost always outperforms a little-of-everything spread. Decide what your account is for, then commit to it.
05

Choosing Wisely

Because orbs are finite and costs climb, the single most important habit is to plan your whole path before spending. Map out the talents you want, total their orb cost, and make sure you can realistically reach them.

Never spend impulsively. There are no resets and no refunds. An orb dropped on a talent you don't really need is an orb you'll wish you had three tiers later, when prices are far higher.
Tip: Prioritise talents your goals depend on first — defensive milestones for the bosses you're targeting, or drop-rate boosts for the content you farm. Build toward your actual playstyle, not a checklist.

Treat the talent screen like a one-way door. Walk through it on purpose.
