Select Your Game Mode

When you first log into Xalor, you'll choose one of three game modes. Your choice shapes everything — trading, drop rates, and how you progress.

Normal

Standard progression. Trade freely, use the Player Owned Shop with standard drop rate, damage, and coin modifiers.

Ironman

Self-sufficient challenge. No trading or POS — gather everything yourself. Unique shop access and a bonus drop rate to compensate.

Group Iron

Team mode. You and your group share a bank and can trade only within your group.

Starter Task

Your very first task is the tutorial quest. Follow the on-screen prompts to learn movement and combat.

Objective: Kill 50 Minisaurs
Reward: Your first Donator rank + an AOE Orb

This won't take long — and the rewards are more than worth the effort as a first-time player.

Journal (Diary)

The in-game journal tracks your active tasks, completed quests, and earned rewards. Open it via the Diary icon on your HUD.

Completing journal tasks grants permanent account buffs to damage, drop rate, and coins received — plus a set of solid starter gear.

Tasks to Complete

Donate 1,000,000 coins to ::wog
Complete 3 Slayer Tasks
Claim 4 vote scrolls via ::vote
Kill 500 monsters
Open 50 boxes
Complete 2 Collection Logs
Salvage 100 items

Zones

Xalor's progression is structured around zones. The loop is simple: complete the collection log for each NPC (CTRL+C), then move on to the next NPC in the list.

Instances: You can use 3×3, 4×4, and 8×8 instances at the cost of instance tickets. Tickets drop at ~1/50 and a few come free from the ::bp Battlepass.

Zones to Avoid (for now)

While progressing through zones, note that any zone labelled Multiboss can be skipped entirely for now.

Their collection logs may be valuable eventually, but they're completely optional at this stage. Check CTRL+T for a full zone list.

Tip: Don't waste time forcing content you're not geared for. Progress linearly and come back later.

Shops

Visit the Player Owned Shop system and the CTRL+J store to grab starter gear and early bargains. These should be among your first stops.

Battlepass

Access your free Battlepass with ::bp. Each pass has multiple tiers — you need 100 points to advance one level, and every kill in a Battlepass zone grants 1 point.

Free

Included by default. Earns through kills in BP zones.

Epic

$40 in the store. Must be unlocked before Legendary.

Legendary

$40 in the store. Highest value donation tier currently available.

Note: Tier 2 (Epic) must be purchased before Legendary. Do them in order — they are the best value donations right now. Grab them from the Xalor Store.
