Overview
Combat pets fight alongside you — dealing automatic damage, firing special attacks on cooldown, and granting passive buffs to your character. Both mechanics run on independent timers and activate without any input.
The stronger your pet's tier and level, the harder it hits — and the more of your own player power feeds into its damage. This guide covers how pets level, where to grind, how their damage is calculated, the full tier list, and how to upgrade.
How Pets Level Up
Pets gain experience through combat, earning XP per kill based on the monster's power — tougher kills grant more pet XP. Each pet has a maximum level of 100 per tier. The closer a pet is to max level, and the higher its tier, the more devastating its contribution becomes.
Where to Grind
Every viable source of pet XP, ranked low to high. Per-hour rates assume a continuous kill loop; raids and dungeons are listed per run. The higher up the chain you can comfortably farm, the faster your pets reach Level 100.

The Damage Formula
Pet damage is drawn from two sources: the pet's own power, and a portion of your character's damage. The pet's base hit grows exponentially with every tier and level — a high-tier, max-level pet isn't slightly better, it's dramatically stronger. On top of that, a fraction of your final damage is added to every pet hit, and that fraction grows the more progressed your pet is.
- Base Hit × Tier & Level Scaling — grows exponentially as the pet gains tiers and levels.
- Your Final Damage × Pet Progress — a share of your own damage, the share growing as the pet progresses.
- The result is then rolled randomly between 0 and the maximum — same as standard combat, splash (0) included.
The overlap matters: a fully-levelled pet outscales the next tier's early levels. A Tier 1, Level 100 pet hits harder than a Tier 2, Level 1 — so maxing what you have often beats rushing the next tier early.

Pet Upgrading
Pets can be upgraded into a higher tier — but the requirements are steep. This is the primary long-term progression sink for the pet system, rewarding players who have fully maxed a pet and are ready to invest further.
The Pet Upgrading interface — requires Level 100 and a sacrifice
- The pet being upgraded must have reached Level 100 — the max level for its current tier. You cannot upgrade a pet that isn't fully leveled.
- You must sacrifice an additional pet item of the same tier or lower. That pet is consumed and cannot be recovered.
- On a successful upgrade, all pets within the same family reset to Level 1. You'll re-level the entire family from scratch after each tier transition.
