Overview

Poseidon is the God of the Deep — the third boss of the tier and the most punishing yet. His maximum hit of 2,000 is the highest you've faced so far. The silver lining: his attack speed is slow and his accuracy is low, meaning he often hits on the lower side. rarly, when he connects, though, it can be catastrophic.

His two mechanics work differently to anything seen before — rather than burst damage, they apply sustained pressure over time. Drowning drains you steadily. Flaming Water chips away in the background. Either alone is manageable. Both at once will kill you if you're not eating consistently.

Key insight: Poseidon's danger is attrition, not burst. He's trying to wear you down. Your job is simple: keep your HP topped up at all times and never let the DoT effects stack on a low health pool.

Mandatory prep: Complete Defender 1 and Defender 2 before your first attempt. This halves his maximum damage — without it, a single hit can end the fight instantly.

Boss Mechanics

🌊 Drowning Highest Priority

Poseidon submerges you, dealing 2% of your maximum HP per second for 10 seconds. This is a heavy sustained drain — on a full health pool it adds up quickly and cannot be ignored.

Eat the moment Drowning activates. Don't wait for your HP to look dangerous — by the time it does, you may already be in kill range of his next auto-attack.

🔥 Flaming Water Moderate Priority

Poseidon summons superheated water around you, boiling the player for 5 damage per second. Alone this is minor — but it compounds dangerously during a Drowning phase.

The real threat is overlap. If both mechanics are active simultaneously, your HP is draining from two sources while you're waiting for his slow attack to land.

Mechanic overlap warning: Drowning + Flaming Water running at the same time creates a dangerous drain window. Keep your HP above 60% at all times — a 2,000 hit (or 1,000 with Defender) on a half-health pool is a kill.
